Enjoyable comic episode
Woodyanders9 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
After Rudolpho (an amusing turn by Stephen Marcus) sells the Tulip to weaselly businessman Max (neatly played with oily aplomb by Paul Mari) for conversion into a prison ship, Dante (the always excellent Michael Pare) must infiltrate Max's organization while fending off the unwanted advances of Max's amorous tramp wife Zelda (a deliciously catty and conniving portrayal by the attractive Tracy-Ann Oberman). This episode takes a welcome and refreshing break from the show's trademark gritty seriousness by nicely mining a sharp line in wickedly funny humor: Max's smarmy antics are a hoot to watch while his lusty wife Zelda's attempts at seducing Dante are likewise hilarious. Moreover, Tanya Allen is in fine feisty form as the ever-resourceful Percy, who wreaks all kinds of havoc on the Tulip's various systems in order to dissuade Max from wanting to keep it. Best of all, Oberman plays shameless and faithless slut Zelda to the delightfully vampy hilt. A fun change of pace outing.
