The group lands on a world where religious doctrine known as the Oracle reigns supreme. There is a head Oracle, and science has been outlawed. I was excited to see guest star Connor Trinneer as Samson, the leader of the rational thinkers or rats for short. The resistance must do everything they can to convince the people that the Oracle is nothing but a lie, and the crossover machine is evil. This is an excellent episode because it mirrored the religious fanatics who existed in larger numbers during the 1990s when this episode aired. These people would give up their money and lives for an invisible delusion. They just couldn't see that the Oracle is based on greed and control, not faith. Oracle doctrine is nothing more than a means to an end, an end to them and the transfer of personal property to the religious leader. Science is the truth, not a forked-tongue stranger wearing an expensive suit. This episode is a must see, especially for the religious minded.
