Inevitably, a series about treasure hunters has to take the audience to Egypt sooner or later, the classic field for archaeologists. Of course, considering the low TV budget, 'Relic Hunter' cannot afford the real pyramids, not even rent a few camels. So we get a nice, average episode in studio sets, telling the story of a huge diamond with special qualities. It falls into the wrong hands, has to be taken back by Sydney, the usual stuff.
I loved the beginning when Claudia wonders if she is a reincarnation of Jane Fonda, and when Nigel tells her Jane Fonda is still alive, that's quite a disappointment for the secretary. However when Sydney tells her the actress got married, Claudia concludes that's as good as dead.
