"Don Gringo" begins with Johnny Yuma's discovery of an Indian massacre, leaving alive only a young man with moustache, who suddenly whips it off to reveal a beautiful young Mexican woman named Demetria (Gigi Perreau, later seen in "The Promise"). He assures her safe passage to her impending wedding to Don Ronaldo (Eugene Iglesias, later seen in "The Uncourageous"), son of wealthy nobleman Don Diego (Edgar Barrier, last of two), but the reluctant bride to be would rather avoid her arranged marriage to a man she's never met, and develops a major crush on Johnny, who respectfully prefers to play big brother. Don Ronaldo proves to be the jealous type, fuming as Demetria chooses to continue flirting with Johnny rather than honor their betrothal. The lovely teenaged Gigi Perreau was a major child actress whose adult career petered out around 1970, but enjoys a fine showcase complete with Mexican accent.
