The Joel Fleischman saga is coming to an end

A once great show begins to unravel. PDKs review pretty much sums it up. It feels so rushed. A show comes along every so often that not only entertains but also strikes a chord in our souls and becomes more than a show. It takes on a life of its own. I'm not moved that frequently but N E was able to do that. Fans of the show deserved so much more. Supposedly Rob Morrow wanted out of the show. I've always been a romantic so I wanted a happily ever after foe Maggie and Joel but it became obvious that wasn't gonna happen. Everything began to go haywire. Chris started to become annoying. Holling and Shelley became an afterthought. Maurice became irrelevant. Marilyn's part dwindled and Ed became a shadow of his former self. Too bad.

I'll Hang in Till the End

I agree with the other reviewers. But there is a kicker. This is an utterly unconventional show and needs an unconventional ending. Rob Morrow is a good actor and wanted into the movies. They could have sweetly put the two principles together and made it a sappy sweet ending. I know we are a bit nonplussed by what takes place. Joel going off into the wilderness is a bit of a stretch (especially how quickly he adapted). But let's face it. There is a point where, without expanding the cast, we can have any more. I agree that all the characters have reached their limits. I know it's not the end, but I sort of feel that way.

Something Happened and This is the Beginning of the End

This is a major break with the flow of the show. A complete break and the writers knew at this point that the show was coming to an end.

I think that Joel's quest was going to come to the same end, but it was rushed along to the dismay of this fan.

Very sad that it came to this end. 1/10, wouldn't watch again.
