That'll Be 100 Dollars

During a serious wind storm the old bell tower in the town is damaged. George's grandfather was the one who designed and built it, but when it comes to repairing it, the town hires some windbag contractor. George doesn't feel appreciated and gets Dick to accompany him in the repairs. This, of course, is against the law, but it's a matter of principle. While they are up there, they are joined by Larry, Darryl, and Darryl who enjoy visiting the bats that hang out there. Soon Michael and Stephanie and Joanna show up and some other townspeople. It is really quite funny. I've grown to like Jim and Chester. They always blame Dick for everything--J. J. as well. But it works out in the end. This show is just as funny today as it was many years ago.

The town's bell tower is damaged after a snowstorm, George volunteers to fix it, but the town elects another contractor.

A good episode for the all the town's people. George is hurt that no one has confidence in his work, so he gets Dick to sneak in the tower with him to fix it at night. Michael shows up with Stephanie, he is trying to get over his fear of big winds, which started when he saw the twister in "The Wizard Of Oz" Larry and the Darryls stop by because they like the bats that fly around the tower. Chester, Jim, Officer Shifflet and J.J. also add to the fun.
