Great episode

The funny thing about the Nanny is that often certain scenes that are outstanding rather than the whole episode. Two great scenes are seen in this episode .The first is when lands home drunk and climbs into the wrong bed and the second when she thinks MrSheffield is going to propose. Drescher is excellent in both scenes and both scenes make you laugh out loud (something that is very rare nowadays) Stumbled across the pilot on YouTube and thought it was charming and got hooked. It's far from perfect but has heart and perks you up .Would love to know how much input Drescher actually had and how much was the writers.

Fran sees herself in 20 years, and doesn't like it.

Warning: Spoilers
Don't confuse big haired Tyne Daly for Lanie Kazan's Aunt Frieda. I did, and it is amazing how much the two characters who didn't appear together look alike. They even have the same wacky drag queen style of glamour. Daly's Mona is retiring after years as a nanny because her charges are all grown up, and in describing her situation (to the lyrics of the show's theme song), Fran realizes that she seeing her past, present and future in Mona's situation. This episode is a well written metaphor for Fran's life, meant to advance the story of Fran and Maxwell's growing affection for each other. Fran gets a great drunk sequence which results in a very funny twist of her ending up in the wrong bed and the aftermath which gives it a lot of laughs.
