The MO of a couple of jerks is to wait for elderly people to cash their government checks and then rob them. Unfortunately, one old guy dies in the process. Medavoy and Sipowicz dress as old people and do a decoy but. In another case a vicious guy kills a young woman and robs her. Andy and Danny investigate and set up a sting. Meanwhile, Russell takes a leave of absence. Doubtful we will see her again. Danny takes it hard.

The Diane Adoration Continues to Astound Me

Don't get this wrong- I enjoy this show. However, the Diane character had to have been one of the most annoying ones out there. For one, the way she left-come on Andy- you couldn't tell her to say good-bye to Danny first-hand? She's going to call everyone? Please- she hardly knew Baldwin. As for Greg, she never seemed that friendly towards him anyway. And why did Connie need a call? They ate together previously and they couldn't meet later? And for being the 'princess' of the Squad- she couldn't say good-bye to John as she's leaving? Give me a break. It was classless on her part. Lazy writing on this episode and it was a shame that the writers on this show made Danny into such a moping baby over whiney, selfish Diane.
