A guy named Bass takes over as Captain and immediately begins to make mistakes. He stops any overtime without his consent which compromises ongoing cases. The first case is a beautiful young woman, hacked to death with a knife. It involves a man who wants revenge on his ex wife and who is willing to do anything. The next is an irresponsible childhood friend of Bobby's who is in over his head with the wise guys but is too stupid to realize it. Finally, a con man is approaching unattractive women, selling them a beautifying box that they wear over their heads. He uses his charms to con them.
