Fancy is visited by an old musician friend who tries to get him to involve himself in a 15 year old murder. The man has kidney failure and wants to come clean. The second case is a record producer who was universally hated. He had his head bashed in. It could have been a multitude of adversaries. The most gripping case is that of a man, the survivor of the murder of his wife and infant son. Each case had a particularly ugly side to it.
