This episode made me think also like allison or like other watchers if the detective was right to blame that person it in past. If he did not do that thing, that raper - killer would be free and could damage other people.
I dont understand despite he saw in the truck, why he could not make him arrested.
Detective has power and he used it wrongly to do right thing. But not all cops do like this. They can use it for themselves. It can be easily manipulated.
And by giving a killer to that murder, he made real killer be free maybe.
But still it was a good decision to blame him. He was desperate and he could not let him go freely. Because he had followed him for a long time before it and could not see any illegal things except stealing. So, there was no other solution.
