Sam showing wider scope of emotions finally.

Jealousy over green bean size seems like a weak premise. But, the episode has an unusual amount of depth for "Mayberry RFD". Cardboard cutout Sam Jones (Ken Berry) the last two episodes is showing more complex aspects of his usually robotic vanilla nature.

Also, some strong pretty Millie Swanson (Arlene Golonka) moments expanding her characters depth. Another bland character Charles Lampkin as Ralph Barton gave a fine acting performance giving Sam a pep talk explaining mother nature's ways.

Millie looked like she had two different homes with different driveway sides in the green bean scene then the porch scene.

Excellent epilogue with Ken Berry showing a surprisingly very good singing voice.

Millie, the Expert Farmer
JordanThomasHall24 October 2019
Sam is upset that his bean crop has failed. He consults another farmer, his friend Ralph Barton (Charles Lampkin) and Harry (Richard Collier) at the lawn and garden shop in town. Both feel he did everything right. Meanwhile, Millie has successfully grown green beans in her backyard garden from Sam's seeds. Sam is confused and miffed by her success. It causes increasing friction between them.
