A thief in their midst?
ShadeGrenade13 March 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Robin and Chrissy return to the flat to find the front door open. They also find the £80 set aside for the rent money is missing. So who took it? The police call, but no important clues are found. While trying to solve the crime, the flat mates must first elude the Ropers before they can ask for the money...

An average episode. An angry viewer complained to 'The Sunday People' newspaper after spotting a poster in the flat depicting the police as pigs. 'The Mucky Duck' finally acquires a landlord, played by Michael Segal. Of course no money has been stolen. Roper took it while they were out.

Funniest moment - after the three friends have fled from Roper for the umpteenth time, Mildred suggests he change his after-shave.

Three days after this was first broadcast, Richard O'Sullivan was back on I.T.V. in the first of a new run of 'Doctor In Charge' ( the episode in question was 'The Merger' ) in which he was the sneaky 'Lawrence Marwood Bingham'. It was not the first time the actor played two roles simultaneously in two top-rated sitcoms - only the year before he had been both 'Bingham' and 'Howard' the accident-prone boyfriend of one of Patrick Cargill's daughters in 'Father Dear Father'. It felt strange seeing him as married man 'Bingham' again after playing single 'Robin'. He would soon leave St. Swithins to concentrate on chasing after Chrissy.

It's Only Money
Prismark1011 June 2020
Robin and Chrissy arrive and thinks that their upstairs flat has been broken into. The rent money is gone. They are already a month behind with the rent to the Ropers.

They report it to the police and the boys in blue point out that they had a spare key on a string and you can see the money easily from the letterbox. It was like giving money away to charity.

Now the three of them have to avoid George who keeps bringing up the subject of the rent even when they see him in the pub.

I liked that one of the policemen was more interested that another of upstairs flat was empty. His cousin is looking for a flat.

I could not help wondering that the pub landlord looked like Terry Thomas.
