Talk about weak...?

How about "I'm gonna take hostages at gunpoint ! Why? To clear things up about my brother being violent!" This is only the second episode,but I already cut the first episode of the show some slack because it was the first episode !

So this IS a new show, but that excuse only works a few times and it's been used 2x already. I'm thinking that things will pick up within the next couple of episodes,surely!

Rossi is held hostage after a shooting in a gun store. The brother of the man moves Rossi into the newsroom, insisting that the story written shows that his brother wasn't a bad guy. What ensues is a tiresome presentation of a kind of Stockholm syndrome. Everything looks so contrived. Sappy television I hope the series gains some power because the first two episodes are pretty soft.
