Our Rover Boy Texas Rangers are tracking down the infamous Jamison gang who have taken refuge in a nasty lawless town called Arillo. There's a town banker there played by Woodrow Parfrey who is in cahoots with those Jamisons headed by Donnelly Rhodes. He's done a bit of old west style money laundering, converting stolen loot to gold bullion and burying it on a farm the bank has title to.
But Parfrey never figures on Julie Harris, widow woman with two small kids just taking over the farm. That bullion is there for the claiming if she finds it.
Bruce Dern is in this episode as well playing one of the gang who is cooperating with the Rangers.
There's a nice saloon brawl with the Rangers cleaning house in Arillo. Funniest however is poor Neville Brand trying to hold up Julie Harris's wagon while William Smith and Peter Brown take their own sweet time about repairing the wheel. Brand's expressions are priceless. Worth seeing the episode alone for them.
