In this episode Kevin Dobson is testifying about an arrest he made of Martin Kove who held up a restaurant and killed a patron. Crocker was a patrolman then and he chased Kove down and apprehended him.
But while Dobson is on the stand the owner and chief witness is murdered and the Manhattan South Squad has to scramble to save the case in court.
Roxie Roker as the owner's widow and unknown witness is outstanding here as a woman caught between fear and her civic duty. And special kudos go to Sara Seegar as a woman who's hobby it is to watch trials. She knows more law than many lawyers and all the players in the criminal justice system. Seegar provides a lot of interesting observations between her knitting.
Good story and performances.
