Wayne Rogers stars as a real jerk. Pretending to be a researcher, he buys hoof and mouth disease-infected blood from a rancher in Mexico. Hoof and mouth is incurable and if infected, entire herds of cattle would need to be destroyed....and he plans on using this blood to extort money out of a rich rancher. But it's also very personal, as he also insanely believes that the rancher he plans on attacking has wronged his family. Much of it actually seems to stem from racism, as the rancher he plans on destroying is a Mexican-American.
Talk about a weird plot! But it also works well and is interesting throughout....and is well worth seeing.
