Quotes
-
Afton Cooper : [to Mitch] Well, maybe for once you ought to think of somebody besides you!
-
J.R. Ewing : [in bed with Afton, tired out...] Well, you don't lie, that's for sure.
Afton Cooper : About what?
J.R. Ewing : About what you do best.
Afton Cooper : J.R.?
J.R. Ewing : Hmm?
Afton Cooper : You probably think I'm easy now.
[shakes her head]
Afton Cooper : I'm not. I just never met anybody like you before.
J.R. Ewing : Oh, I'm not any better than anybody else.
Afton Cooper : I know that.
J.R. Ewing : Yeah?
Afton Cooper : I just meant you're different.
J.R. Ewing : [grunts] How different?
Afton Cooper : The first time I saw you I could tell. You always get what you want.
J.R. Ewing : [smiles] Well, I try.
Afton Cooper : So, what happens now?
J.R. Ewing : Well, I think we ought to get downstairs before people start wondering where we are.
Afton Cooper : I meant from now on.
J.R. Ewing : Well, you and your mama have to go back to Mississippi... but old J.R. is gonna get you a wonderful going-away present.
[gets up to get dressed]
Afton Cooper : [to herself] Maybe we're going, maybe we're not...
-
Afton Cooper : [after getting a drink spilled on her, Sue Ellen heads back in to change, just as Afton comes out] Sue Ellen, your dress...
Sue Ellen Ewing : Oh, it's... it's nothing.
[realizes:]
Sue Ellen Ewing : Our house certainly holds fascination for you, doesn't it?
