A medical quack scam
Paularoc10 July 2013
Matt Anders is a freelance magazine writer who also works with the Federal Crime Commission. In this episode Agent Walter Cronan asks Anders assistance with a case of a medical quack whose actions are endangering the life of a little girl. Cronan tells Anders that medical quacks are self styled doctors who work just within the law and in this case are targeting immigrant fruit workers. One of these poor workers, Edna Wilkes takes her seriously ill daughter from the hospital and asks the quack Dr. Marion to treat the girl. "Dr." Marion has many patients in the farm workers immigrant community. Mrs. Wilkes remains a staunch supporter of Marion until Anders shows her that the quack doctor wants real medical attention for her own son. Brian Keith does a good job as Anders and the show has a strong supporting cast with the familiar character actors Jeannette Nolan, Claude Atkins and Arthur Space.
