Eddie badly wants to have a brother. Norman gives him the idea to create an imaginary brother. Eddie puts his all into pretending there is a "Tommy", much to Tom's disapproval. Tom tells Norman that Eddie must face realities in order to grow up. Eddie meets with four brothers around his age to attempt to trade some of his toys for their family's newborn baby. Tom brings release forms that Eddie asks for and stops the deal when Eddie tells him what's going on. Tom tries what he thinks may be a suitable solution.
