The Ultimate Power

When The Seer foresees the demise of The Source by the Halliwell sisters, he decides to break the covenant between good and evil unleashing the ultimate power, the forbidden The Hollow. He kills the Guardians of The Hollow and uses the dangerous lethal power to absorb the powers of Piper and Paige. Meanwhile, Phoebe has a premonition of Cole sacrificing himself to protect her against a ball of fire, and they try to find in the Book of Shadows means to vanquish the powerful demon and trap The Hollow again.

"Charmed and Dangerous" is one full of action episode of "Charmed". The final battle between the evil The Source and The Power of Three has a surprising element, with the association of The Seer and Cole, who seems to have absorbed the powers of The Source. My vote is eight.

Charmed and Dangerous is one of the best episodes of Charmed, probably the best heavy-action episode, better than the Season 3 finale All Hell Breaks Loose. It has an atmosphere of dread throughout, together with really death-threatening situations. Also, the ending of this episode is what starts the best story-arc of the complete series (one that involves Cole) and it shows why Season 4 is the best. Yes, it might come as a surprise that it is in the middle of the season, since it seems like an obvious episode for a season finale, but the reason is that even better things are to come for The Source. Anyhow, brilliant episode, classic Charmed at it's best.

Charmed and Dangerous picks up the long awaited battle between the charmed ones and The Source. He is determined to end the circle once again so he takes in the hollow against the better judgment of his seer since it nearly decimated creation the last time it was freed. The most emotional episode as the charmed ones have waited all this time to avenge their sister's death and to stay alive in the process. Also it still strikes me how inhumane demons can be as The Source taunts them about Prue making you miss her presence even more.

The hollow was a cool concept, very thought out, but it never explains how it was created and for what purpose. It seems like a plot device only served to change Cole into the new one After they vanquish him. The seer really shows how calculating she can be by betraying the two strongest powers in existence without facing her own demise. Debra Morgan is a welcomed addition to the show with a rich history to explore and see what other shenanigans she's up to.
