Last Hawaii Episode is Nothing Exciting
aramis-112-80488021 January 2023
Remember the old show "Bat Masterson"? Neither do I. But when "Charlie's Angels" first aired plenty of people were alive who did. Gene Barry, star of that show, turns up here as a brutal club owner loaded with secrets.

The kidnappers demand (Dr. Evil voice) one million dollars.

Kris looks especially good in this episode. Squeaky-voiced Julie (Tanya Roberts) looks good but needs to keep her mouth shut.

This episode includes the slowest-falling cage in history. Maybe Newton was wrong.

This is not a particularly distinguished episode, nor very exciting (even during the obligatory car chase). Nor is anything wrong with it. It just is. And with Cheryl Ladd in that bikini, it's enough.

And the Beat Goes On

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was actually my favorite Hawaiian one for a long time, until I found all the flaws. The Angels are hired yet again to find a kidnapped victim, who is being held for ransom, again. Three kidnapping episodes in Hawaii. If I were the angels I would never go there again, let Steve McGarrett take over. Spoiler time: #1 Gene Barry is kidnapped by girls who he probably could've taken over, but those girls are suppose to be doing there number on stage the same time he is kidnapped. How can they be two places at the same time? #2 The lady lets Julie come into her car willy nilly. A complete and total stranger!! #3 The dialogue in this episode is outrageous, I.e., "Maybe you can catch a kidnapper, the same way you can catch a fish?" "With what Kris?" "Bait." Pardon me while I go laugh til I cry. #4 The dance instructor is too suspicious of Kris and Julie.

If you want a good laugh this is the one, otherwise I'd skip this one angels.
