If you were able to see this episode of a show that was one of the real first stabs at reality based contestants under stress you would recognize this as Generation One! For that distinction alone this show gets a 10. Nevermind the fact that contestants like Mike De Luca separated his shoulder in his first event and he still had the courage and conviction to end what he started. For money? Hardly. For fame? It was the first episode of the first show of its kind. No, they all did it because they had heart! This show most importantly, this first episode, deserves a place in the reality TV hall of fame. Is it super quality? Nope. Is it gritty and raw? You bet. Get a copy, and crank up the volume. Those screams of pain and victory are real!
