"The Doll" finds distraught doll shop owner Christine Lawson (Dee Croxton) telling Wojo about a stolen doll worth $5000, the kidnapper (A Martinez, second of two) sending her a ransom note with a lock of hair and one shoe! Harris calls around for details: "she's about 1'10, three 1/2 pounds, blonde hair, porcelain complexion, wearing an Austrian wedding gown...nah, she's not in trouble, we just wanna talk to her!" Inspector Luger drops by to keep Barney informed about his will, leaving him assets worth over $200,000, most amused about their present case ("it's okay Barney, big important case you're workin' on...somebody lost their dolly!"). Oliver Clark (fifth of six) plays optician Eugene Corbett, guilty of disorderly conduct at the Goddard Institute for Space Studies, after being swindled for a nonexistent ticket aboard the space shuttle. Philip Bruns (third of four) plays Elvin Swift, from the Institute's public relations firm, who admits they may have need for an optician on a future flight. Harris is amazed at the high cost to defend himself against Arnold Ripner's defamation lawsuit, while Barney confirms that he's been subpoenaed to testify...for the plaintiff!
