Donna Douglas ain't no Elley May on this episode !
coolatheart26 May 2017
My Heavens. Donna Douglas is such a sexpot here on this fun episode. She can't keep her hands off Flint as the 'other woman.' Her clothes are Skin Tight. She's drinking and smoking. Never has she looked so beautiful. Roscoe was better than usual as comic relief dressed up as a cigar smoking Indian Chief. Having been born one year before the start of Sunset Strip, MeTV has afforded me my first experience of this wonderful series. I truly enjoy the casting 99% of the time.

Sweet Donna

Warning: Spoilers
Yep, partner, THAT'S why this is a good episode. The characters play their usual parts, and Louis Quinn does a good job of light relief (as usual). I like the idea of a kinda "neer do well" having a regular part in a series that really doesn't take itself too seriously.

And that is the key to this show. If you're old enough to remember (like some of us geezers) one reason this show as popular was because so many of the plots were ridiculous. Jacqueline Beer is sort of a Della Street; and I think the writers had decided to make Kookie (pronounced "Cookie on the show), a little less beat and hot rod and more suave college type; I think, anyway.

Donna Douglas is cinnamon whiskey in this episode, and I knew there was a reason I fell in love with her in the Beverly Hillbillies. She was great (R.I.P. Donna), but also incredibly hot. Her character is named Rhonda; very sexy, and it fits her and the part.

Flint Dakota
bkoganbing24 May 2017
Peggy McCay retains the services of Bailey&Spencer on behalf of her husband cowboy star Flint Dakota played by Andrew Duggan. It seems that someone is trying to either kill him or at a very least sabotage a comeback picture Duggan has put all his money into. Going along undercover with Roger Smith is Louis Quinn looking a bit ridiculous in his Indian suit.

Duggan was quite the chaser in his day and right now he's chasing Donna Douglas. He's also got a jealous stuntman in Hal Baylor who gives him the needle and a director in Kent Taylor also looking to make a comeback of sorts. No shortage of suspects.

In fact the one Jeff Spencer zeroes in on manages to get killed. He literally has to start from scratch.

A bit of comic relief is provided by Louis Quinn as Roscoe meets another Indian extra in Christine Nelson who likes the gambling man.

I think you'll like this episode.
