Having ascertained Kingsley's involvement in the creation of the Cyprus tape, Jack decides to bring in Alex Hewitt and Sherry Palmer for questioning. Unfortunately Alex freaks out, runs away and is killed before he can provide any useful information. Meanwhile, back at CTU, Tony and Michelle are placed under arrest for what they did to Ryan Chappelle, while at the same time Mike Novick realizes he might have made the wrong decision supporting Jim Prescott on the war issue.
Everyone betrays everyone, allegiances shift within minutes, and the only person one can trust to always do the right thing is Jack.
