It's almost over...

24 is smart, dense and detailed, possibly more than any other TV show ever made. Proof? This is the penultimate episode of Day 2, and there's so much going on it could end in a million different ways.

Having ascertained Kingsley's involvement in the creation of the Cyprus tape, Jack decides to bring in Alex Hewitt and Sherry Palmer for questioning. Unfortunately Alex freaks out, runs away and is killed before he can provide any useful information. Meanwhile, back at CTU, Tony and Michelle are placed under arrest for what they did to Ryan Chappelle, while at the same time Mike Novick realizes he might have made the wrong decision supporting Jim Prescott on the war issue.

Everyone betrays everyone, allegiances shift within minutes, and the only person one can trust to always do the right thing is Jack. Even now, despite the fact he flat-lined a few hours earlier, there's no stopping him, and there's no stopping the show either: the end is near, but the season still keeps running at an enviable pace, ensuring every possible resource is employed to give the audience the well deserved thrills they have asked for. And there's only one hour left after this - anything can, and probably will, happen.

Home Stretch

This is the search for Kingsley. The ailing Jack has to resort to taking Sherry with him but trouble finds them. Michelle and Tony have been discovered. Now it's a matter of bringing the chickens home. Kim ends up with Kate. WE have come through 23 hours and there are numerous loose ends. The President is showing incredible class as he deals with his removal from office. Let's see how they wrap this up.
