Who doesn't love Coldheart?
TheLittleSongbird17 May 2012
I am not the biggest fan of the Care Bears, but I do love the 1980s TV show and enjoyed the TV specials, the first two movies and Wonderland and Nutcracker Suite. Journey to Joke-A-lot, not so much. While I do slightly prefer Land Without Feelings, this is a fun TV special. It may have some corny dialogue, though the "Frostbite, what are you doing?/watering the pretty flowers/Blockhead, you let them in" exchange is priceless, and while admirable the messaging can get a little saccharine in places. However the animation while lacking the finesse of Land Without Feelings, is colourful enough, and the music is suitably whimsical. The story is cute and charming, the Care Bears and Paul are likable, Frostbite is hilarious and Coldheart once again proves to be a cool villain. The voice work is good, with Coldheart sounding as though he is relishing every moment. Overall, a good, fun Care Bears outing. 8/10 Bethany Cox
