Stacy Toney of Lake Charles, La., was in the middle of a route when Hurricane Katrina devastated the New Orleans area. Amazingly, his home escaped major damage, and he was able to put up his brother, Jeff, who was not so lucky. Then Hurricane Rita rolled through the same area causing significant damage to Toney's home. These two storms brought out the best in him. Sylvester Thompson has nine children, three of whom are named after him. He has diesel in his veins and shares his love of trucking with his namesakes. He loves taking his family to truck shows and has always dreamed of having his own show truck to pass down to his sons. Kevin and Gail Griffard are partners in marriage and in trucking. Years ago, Gail was stricken with cancer and was sidelined from trucking for five years while she recovered. During that time, Kevin had to carry on and make all the hauls without her. Although it was incredibly painful for them to be apart, the bills had to be paid. Now that she's 100 percent recovered, the Griffards are back on the road together, their marriage stronger than ever. Because of medical bills, maintaining their truck has fallen by the wayside.
