needs new edit

This movie has great potential if it would only tell the story it is so obviously meant to tell. The older man, the painter, is the key to the story. It needs to circle around him to make sense. Since the best thing in the movie is Robert Kelly-Schleyer, it makes sense to make better use of him. I think a good film is like a good novel. I should see it one time and know absolutely what is happening and to whom it is happening. The mood and tone should only shift if there is a clear and compelling reason. The same with the scenes. I need to follow for a reason. So, re-edit with an eye to telling the old painter's story with the others hanging off of it and this will be a small jewel.

Watch it once, unless you are a perfectionist

If this was a big Hollywood production with a huge budget and top rated actors I would have to give it a zero. However, as a fan of independent films using relatively unknown actors this one is....well...O.K. It is confusing, and the actors have variable talent. I watched the film once (unless you count the scan through to figure out what the heck "26 mirror" means) and cannot remember particulars on most of the talent. However, one actor, the painter, stands out head and shoulders above the other actors. I checked Robert Kelly-Schleyer's credentials and found that he has played a redneck in previous outings; a movie and a rap video. I watched the rap video online, and he does a great job in it also. But I think the serious part he plays in this film better suits his talent. In summary, if you are a person who enjoys independent films with all their flaws and obscure acting, this is worth a watch. Pay attention, or you will miss the whole point. However, if you are hung up on perfection and great acting, pass on this one.

More like "26 farts!"

Yeah OK. What the hell was that? The trailer was far better than the actual film! Was there even an actual plot? Perhaps. But it wasn't very noticeable. If I wanted to see five different movies about five different people or groups of people then I would have rented five different movies! This whole five stories at once stuff can be pulled off very very well. But that isn't the case with 26 Mirror. I'm sorry. But it's true. There were some good parts. I like the painter character. And the cinematography was pretty good too! But I think thats about it! I was like "wtf!?!" It's like reading five different books that have nothing to do with each other at the same time! What the hell!?! The stories didn't even flow together! And! Another thing that ticks me off is that if you don't see the room # on the door at the beginning then you wouldn't know that every story is even in the same f'ing room! The whole idea of this film was great! It had great potential! Then it all went to hell somewhere down the road! I don't know where! The stories idea could have flowed together like milk and cereal but it didn't! Instead I felt like I was drowning in poo! When the movie was over what does the audience get out of this experience!?! NOTHING!!! Some of the acting was believable. Some of it was. The rest was not. The writing was not HORRIBLE, only because there was NO WRITING to criticize! And was there meaning behind any of this film or did the director just say "Let's do this because it sounds COOL!" I have to stop commenting before I kill myself. But one last thing! I know for a fact that TWO people did not make this f'ing crappy movie! What the hell happened to the crew!?! They're names should be on this site as well! Because it's a fact that the writing and directing was not what made this movie tolerable for half an hour!!!
