I can see what they were going for.

When my friend and I started watching it we were laughing our asses off because of how bad the quality was and that we kept seeing the cameraman. But as the movie went on I actually became kind of fascinated by the film. Because I see the potential in this film if it had a higher budget maybe it could've been a decent movie also the fact that it kept making me think of Fargo and The Revenant. And that helped me enjoy the movie even more at least. And I liked it how it turned into a survival movie.

Conclusion: 5/10 at least you guys gave effort to make this film but if you had a higher budget it could've been a better film.

I really enjoyed it

Honestly, I thought it was great. A lot of people probably wouldn't like it because it is DIRECTLY taken from VHS, but I love that about it. Reminds me of all the B- movies I saw in the 1990s. It's worth a watch for sure.

Enjoyable little thriller

Warning: Spoilers
Vicious psycho criminal Sam Tucker (a pleasingly ruthless portrayal by G-Jo Reed) reverts back to his old brutal ways after being released from prison; he hooks up with three equally nasty no-count cohorts and embarks on a murderous spree. Writer/director Joseph Bagley relates the tight and absorbing story at a snappy pace, creates and maintains a suitably harsh and gritty tone, makes fine use of the bleak wintry sylvan Utah landscape, stages the exciting action scenes with a reasonable amount of flair and skill, and delivers plenty of startling outbursts of raw and sudden savage violence. The competent acting from a game no-name cast rates as another real asset, with Reed's ferocious turn as the unmerciful Tucker a particular stand-out throughout. In a nice touch, the hoodlums with their volatile tempers and clashing personalities wind up being as much of a threat to themselves as they are to other people. Moreover, the hostile wilderness environment ultimately proves to be even deadlier and more treacherous than they are. Daryl Dequetteville's fairly polished cinematography boasts several neat dissolves and a good deal of lively hand-held camera-work. The cool rocking score by Timothy Eilers likewise does the pumping trick. A worthwhile movie.

Very good B movie
I really enjoyed this one. It's disturbing but humorous at times which creates an interesting balance in the tone. The four main actors playing the criminals do a great job in portraying believable characters and their emotions. Most of the other actors... not so much. But the atmosphere of the snowey wilderness is desolate and absolutely disturbing and is brilliant in contrast to most modern, mainstream thriller/horror films . Some weird cuts are made here and there which seem random and out of place, but the story and setting are very strong. The low rating this film received on this site is most likely from people wanting something with a higher production value but I like this movie just the way it is. Go in with low expectations and watch this one on a cold, dark night.
