This amazing film is worth seeing just for its special effects makeup. I had never seen such a life-like corpse. The special effects makeup artist for this film is a genius and deserves a raise! Getting the makeup just right is tricky but Climax pulls it off beautifully.
The plot is riveting and the actors talented. The performance by Goon 1 is a special treat. Be sure to watch for the bonus material that is shown as the credits roll. I was challenged by the motif of loneliness that lurked in some of the happier scenes, and I have still not yet fully wrapped my mind around the esoteric dialogue.
I recommend this film especially to anyone looking for inspiration as a special effects makeup artist, but also to those wanting to watch a film made by students from the Buckeye State. Ohio doesn't get enough attention but this film is just the thing to bring prestige to the state.
