After eight weeks, multiple injuries and countless meltdowns, we've finally made it to the "Dancing With the Stars" Season 14 semi-finals.
There's only one problem: Everyone is just a little too good. All four semi-finalists -- Maria Menounos, Donald Driver, William Levy and Katherine Jenkins -- deserve to win based on their dancing. It's the most closely-matched "Dancing With the Stars" semi-finals ever. The show may be low on ratings, but this season, it's got more than enough talent.
However, for one contestant, the pressure was just too much to handle this week. Former frontrunner Katherine felt the heat of the competition. When the opera singer flubbed her ending, she was overcome with emotion and immediately broke down on the dance floor. Her partner Mark Ballas and host Tom Bergeron tried to console the British beauty, but she was still pretty shaken up during the judges' comments.
It was a devastating...

Chicago – Celebrities rarely are as multi-faceted as Maria Menounos. The Greek American ex-beauty queen is the current co-host – with Mario Lopez – of “Extra,” the popular entertainment news program. This is after correspondent duties on “Access Hollywood,” appearing on the “Today” show and acting in TV’s “Without a Trace” and “One Tree Hill.”
After graduating from Boston’s Emerson College, Menounos worked for Channel One News, which include traveling to El Salvador to cover the 2001 earthquake. She moved into reporting show business news for “Entertainment Tonight” in 2002, and left that program to pursue an acting career in 2005. While landing parts in movies like “The Fantastic Four” and “Tropic Thunder,” she also became a special correspondent for “Access Hollywood.” She only recently left that show to join Mario Lopez as co-host on “Extra.” In December 2011, she participated in a tag team match for the “WWE Tribute to The Troops” and is officially undefeated as a wrestler.

A long time ago, before I became the editor of MTV's Remote Control blog, I did some honest-to-goodness real news reporting. I'm a bit rusty, but today I'm attempting to write seriously about a topic both newsworthy and personal to me.
It's been 120 days since my old colleague from Channel One News and former MTV documentary producer Laura Ling ("Breaking It Down With Serena") was detained at the North Korean border, along with fellow Current TV journalist Euna Lee. In that period of time, both women were arrested, tried and sentenced to 12 years of "hard labor" for illegally crossing the border and for committing a "grave crime."
I simply can't imagine the mental and physical toll this has taken on Laura and Euna, their families and close friends. The word from Laura's sister, TV journalist Lisa Ling, is that an ulcer has been giving her trouble. Euna...
