CBS has made a last-minute change in its May sweeps schedule, pulling the high-profile original movie Martha: Behind Bars. The Cybill Shepherd-starring film, which was a relatively quick turnaround, having been greenlighted in March, was originally scheduled for the final night of the sweep, May 25. Its place will now be taken by another ripped-from-the-headlines telefilm, Amber Frey: Witness for the Prosecution, originally slated for May 22. On May 22, CBS will now air reruns of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: NY against the season finales of ABC's Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy. A CBS spokesman declined to comment on the scheduling move. Meanwhile, ABC's comedy pilot Red & Blue has been pushed.
