Role Models (2008) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Lots of crude sexual dialogue, including a large amount of anatomical terms and several uses of the f-word in a sexual context. What will be offensive to many is that a lot of this involves a 10 year old. Nudity occurs in 3 scenes, 2 of which involve bare breasts(one of the scenes is witnessed by Ronnie) and 1 involves male bare butt(seen by a group of campers). There is a running joke about a hotdog.

Violence & Gore

A real-life role-playing game called "LAIRE" is played by Augie and he's seen playing it several times, "deaths" are acted out with fake swords. The final scenes involve a "LAIRE" battle which shows people acting out their deaths not actually violent their supposed to look funny.

Profanity

36 f-words(close to a third of which are used sexually) and 40 s-words, many of both are uttered by a 10 year old. Another 3-dozen anatomical terms(mostly for male genitalia) and another 55 mild or moderate profanities round the count.

Wheeler smokes pot in one scene, drinks alcohol, and, Danny abuses Ambien.

Gayle constantly talks about her drug addiction.

A family is seen drinking wine in a dinner scene, and Jim drinks beer a couple times.

Drugs: Marijuana, Ambien
