I took my kids to see this at the Tribeca Family Festival, and we had so much fun.
'Cat's Bad Hair Day' is a story about a young girl who is just beginning to get noticed by boys. It's also about the struggle that young boys have in expressing their interest in young girls (throwing rocks and chasing on bicycles).
I have a 12 year old daughter who is experiencing all of this first hand right now and she really loved the movie. She laughed out loud during the kissing scene.
The best part of the short is the naturalistic acting from the young lead actress. She really hits all the notes and never appears like she is trying. I also really loved her strange boy-crazy best friend. I very rarely see full-length movies that get such good performances from children, so I commend the filmmakers on a job well done!!!!
