  Alyx Vance : [Gordon is teleported to Black Mesa East, where Alyx was teleported to just minutes before]  He's coming through, Dad.

  Dr. Eli Vance : What's going on, Judith?

  Dr. Judith Mossman : I'm not sure, it seems to be some kind of interference.

  Dr. Eli Vance : Gordon, stay put. We'll get you out of there.

  Dr. Judith Mossman : Something is drawing him away.

  [Gordon is teleported away to the office of Dr. Breen, high at the top of the Citadel] 

  Dr. Wallace Breen : [looks up from his desk]  What's the meaning of this? Who are you? How did you get in here?

  Barney Calhoun : [back to Kleiner's lab]  Hey, hey, he's back! I'm getting him outta there!

  Dr. Isaac Kleiner : You can't just wade into the field, it will peel you apart!

  Alyx Vance : [on the monitor]  We just lost Gordon! What's going on?

  Dr. Isaac Kleiner : I wish I knew. I'm encountering unexpected interference!

  Barney Calhoun : Don't worry, Gordon. We'll-

  [is cut off by Gordon being teleported to Black Mesa East again] 

  Alyx Vance : There he is!

  Dr. Judith Mossman : Ah, we're losing him again!

  Dr. Wallace Breen : [partially back in Breen's office again, Dr. Breen is speaking to an Advisor on his communication monitor]  The man I saw, I'm all but certain it was...

  [the Advisor notices Gordon behind Breen, and Breen turns around] 

  Dr. Wallace Breen : Gordon Freeman!

  [Gordon is suddenly teleported above a lake and begins to sink, and an Ichthyosaur rushes toward him underwater] 

  Dr. Isaac Kleiner : [finally, Gordon is partially teleported outside of Kleiner's lab]  What do you mean he's not there?

  Dr. Eli Vance : [on the monitor]  He didn't come through.

  Dr. Isaac Kleiner : Then, where is he?

  Dr. Eli Vance : Behind you!

  Dr. Isaac Kleiner : [turns around]  Ah!

  Dr. Eli Vance : Shut it down, shut it down!

  Dr. Isaac Kleiner : Gordon! You must get out of here! Run!

  Barney Calhoun : Get down outta sight! I'll come find you!

  [the teleportation finishes and Gordon is released from its grasp]

• Dr. Wallace Breen : [up in Breen's office, he is trying to convince Eli Vance to surrender]  Eli... if you won't do the right thing for the good of all people, maybe you'll do it for one of them.

  [in another prisoner containment like Eli and Gordon, Alyx is brought out] 

  Dr. Eli Vance : Alyx! Honey...

  Alyx Vance : Dad! *gasp* Gordon? No...

  Dr. Eli Vance : God damn you, Breen! You let her go!

  Dr. Wallace Breen : That's all up to you, my old friend. Will you let your stubborn short-sightedness doom the entire species, or will you give your child the chance her mother never had?

  [he touches Alyx's face] 

  Alyx Vance : [spits on Breen]  How dare you even mention her!

  Dr. Wallace Breen : [motions to slap her, but instead says]  Alyx my dear, you have your mother's eyes, but your father's stubborn nature.

  [grabs her chin] 

  Alyx Vance : You haven't seen a bit of it yet!

  Dr. Wallace Breen : Really? Well, let's see how it serves you on the far side of a Combine portal.

  Dr. Eli Vance : Go ahead, Breen. If that's the worst you can do, send us both through your portal!

  Dr. Wallace Breen : [he presses a button that changes the positions of their prisoner pods, preparing them for off-world teleportation]  Oh, it's hardly the worst. But you might find that hard to believe once you get there.

  Dr. Judith Mossman : It isn't necessary!

  Dr. Wallace Breen : I agree, it's a total waste. Fortunately, the resistance has shown it is willing to accept a new leader.

  [talking directly to Gordon] 

  Dr. Wallace Breen : And this one has proven to be a fine pawn for those who control him.

  Dr. Eli Vance : No!

  Alyx Vance : Don't listen to him, Gordon.

  Dr. Wallace Breen : How about it, Dr. Freeman? Did you realize your contract was open to the highest bidder?

  Alyx Vance : Gordon would never make any kind of deal with you.

  [Breen rolls his eyes] 

  Dr. Wallace Breen : I understand if you don't wish to discuss this in front of your friends. I'll send them on their way, and then we can talk openly.

  Dr. Eli Vance : Don't struggle, honey.

  Alyx Vance : Dad, I'm so sorry.

  Dr. Eli Vance : Alyx, sweetheart.

• Alyx Vance : [Alyx has just rescued Gordon, with no HEV suit or weapons, from some CP officers]  Doctor Freeman, I presume?

  Alyx Vance : [while the city announcement is happening]  We'd better hury. The Combine can be slow to wake, but once they're up, you don't want to get in their way.

  [she calls an elevator] 

  Alyx Vance : Dr. Kleiner said you'd be coming this way. I don't think it occurred to him that you might not have a map.

  [they get in the elevator] 

  Alyx Vance : I'm Alyx Vance. My father worked with you back in Black Mesa. I'm sure you don't remember me, though.

  [Gordon says nothing]

• Dr. Wallace Breen : [Judith uses a device to interrupt the process of sending Eli and Alyx off-world]  Judith? What do you think you're doing?

  Dr. Judith Mossman : We're doing what I could never do alone. We're stopping you.

  [threatened by Judith, Breen makes his way behind his desk] 

  Dr. Wallace Breen : [into his intercom]  Guards! Get in here!

  [she zaps it with an EMP] 

  Dr. Wallace Breen : [the guards begin to bang on the doors]  They know you betrayed them. They'll turn on you! Judith - Dr. Mossman, please!

  Dr. Judith Mossman : I'm sorry, Wallace. You're all out of time.
