One of the early movies of Jagapati and Meena .later both rose to dizzy ehights in their career. Sharada is the matriarch running a farm efficiently with 4 daughers each one having her own problems. Her husband Satyanarayana is often quite and a silent spectator to every thing but its revealed that he has a mind of his own in the end . The first daughter Varalakshmi ( of Shankarabharam fame ) comes back wtih her child aborted by her sadist husband who has thrown her out . Jagapati wishes to marry in this family but Sharada never takes him seriously . He ties the knot with the third daughter in a freak incident . she refuses to acknowledge him as her husband . she is looking for aeducated sophisticated man - not a rustic farm boy like him . the second girl has a love marriage against her in law's wishes . the fourth Meena has been cheated and sweet talked by a boy who was spurned by one of her sisters to spite the family . Pretty Jayalalitha gets a hot sizzling song with Jagapati among rolls of hay .How Sharada and Satyanarayana manage their disturbed family forms the rest of the story . An engaging family story over all .
