Alright, so this is another ABC Weekend Special I caught on Youtube in April. As usual, so far, this is also another I find to be great. This is an adaptation of a story that deals with and revolves around the plight of the survival of two leopards named Bollo and Nefertiti. Due to the heavy practice of hunting leopards (and any other, furry animals for that matter) for their coats, the number of them has gone down tremendously. In fact, the population has gotten so scarce, that the two aforementioned leopards are the only ones left in existence. To make things even more difficult, Bollo is pursued by four humans: a furrier named Felix, an actress named Lulu LaLouche, and two hunters (or poachers) named Snag and Clamper Carstair. Lulu wants Bollo's fur coat to be made into her own so that she can show it off as her latest fashion statement at her next film premiere. If Bollo were to be cornered, Felix would then skin Bollo after Snag and Clamper hunt him. Bollo learns from other animals that in order to prevent this from occurring, the Congress people would have to make a law declaring it an illegal thing to do, and he receives help from the other animals along the way. So he travels to Washington, D.C.'s Congress to look for the president, who he hopes will have the new law written and signed, while the humans follow him there. Will Bollo be able to do so in time before the foursome catch up to him?

The outcome of this may be predictable, but I don't want to give away too much more of how this happens and whether or not he, and Nefertiti, succeed in beginning to repopulate their species anyway. Nonetheless, I still find this to be somewhat of a fast-paced, enjoyable, fun, romp (there's probably a better noun to use to describe this, but I can't think of one at the moment and I might change it later if and when I do). This tale has the socially conscious message of driving animals nearly to extinction and what would happen if that were completed. One point is that in the process it would be bad for the ecosystem. Another is that if animals keep getting slaughtered for their furs or their skins, they'd be fully wiped out and there'd be none left, so alternatives should be used instead, whether there is material for fashions that is as good as animal hides or not. I love it, overall, another great one.
