Storyline
Plot Summary |
Tyneside's 'premier fanny rat' Sidney Smutt stars in this fiesta of drinking, fighting, and woman-chasing, accompanied on his exploits by his drinking mates Baz, Bob, and Joe. Together they blunder through Newcastle-upon-Tyne's social scene. The film is divided into five parts: 'Oot on the Tap' tells the tale of a Friday night out at the pub, curry house, nightclub, and kebab show; 'Eurosidney' sees the lads unsuccessfully on the pull in Spain, where Sid's big mouth gets him deported; 'Sid's Ship Comes In' finally sees him find female interest; 'Sid's Blind Date' sees Sid on the famous ITV game how; and 'The Big Pull' has Sid trying to be inconspicuous about purchasing a top-shelf magazine at the newsagent's.
