A disappointing ending.

A glamorous woman has an unusual way of making money, the ultimate femme fatale.

I think this episode promised a lot, it's a good story, and it boasts a wonderful cast, including a resplendent, glorious Patricia Hodge. It's the highest rated of the six episodes, but to be honest, I found this one a little bit disappointing.

A definite improvement over the previous, Christmas episode, but this one was unfortunately very dull. Some of the dialogue here was so flat, so unimaginative, it really could have been a great end to the series, as it stands, I thought it was boring, 5/10.

Strong finish to the "Time For Murder" series

Warning: Spoilers
For years now, Margaret has been making her living in a rather unorthodox way: she posts ads asking to meet single men with serious plans for marriage, and after a long process ensuring that these men will not be missed by anyone and have left no tracks behind, she kills them and takes their money. Her gardener helps her dispose of the bodies by burying them, while her old, bed-ridden mother seems to be aware of the entire situation but not against it. However, Margaret's latest potential victim does not seem to be the shy and harmless man he presented himself as in his letters....

"Dust To Dust" is the last episode of the "Time For Murder" series, and in my opinion it is also the best since the first, "Bright Smiler", thanks in large part to Patricia Hodge's delightfully amoral character and dominating performance. Like the previous episode, "The Thirteenth Day Of Christmas", it is more of a horror tale than a mystery, but this one is easier to watch, and it's perhaps the only story of this series that I could see being expanded into feature length - there is more under the surface here. The only negative is that the dialogue tends to ramble on at certain points. **1/2 out of 4.
