Plot Summary |
Cesira flees war-torn Rome, abandoning her business and her new love. With her fifteen-year old daughter, Rosetta, she begins a perilous journey to her childhood village in the mountains. For a while they enjoy the pastoral pleasures of the countryside. But a tragic love triangle ends their fantasy and the rising tides of war force them back on the road. |
