A colleague and friend of prosecutor Elizabeth Brochène is hit by a car. Believing it's not an accident but a murder attempt linked to her activities in her job, Elizabeth Brochène gets the case. Prime suspect is a stuntman who runs a family business around stunt shows. He's suspected of accidentally killing his associate during a fight. Elizabeth believes the kill was deliberate. Marie Balaguère restarts the investigation while having doubts about the prosecutor's version. She starts to believe the man protects someone by taking the blame on him.

The women of law investigate the death of Magali, a young women killed in her home. Mary Balaguère questions the victim's employers, one being a friend of prosecutor Elisabeth Brochène. On her side the prosecutor investigates the personal life of the victim and quickly discovers that the victim was lesbian. The victim's ex-girlfriend, Chloé, is suspected because she had trouble accepting the end of their romance. The investigation reveals that a third woman could be involved.
