Sex & Nudity

  • Suggested ESRB rating: E10+ for Violence, Mild Language, and Suggestive Themes
  • In certain instances, Indy and Sophia will enter completely dark rooms where the "look" action is replaced with "touch". Indy can "touch" Sophia, to which she'll respond with a smart remark (e.g. "Hands off, Jones!", "Is that a ship rib in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?") or even an audible slap to Indy's face. Despite implying inappropriate contact, it's all done for comic effect.
  • Sophia briefly remarks about a birthmark somewhere on Indy's body, but he interrupts her before she can identify it. Very vague implication of sexual innuendo.
  • Indy and Sophia share three passionate kisses by the end of the game.

Violence & Gore

  • Mild violence throughout
  • In the introduction, Indy crashes through a window, and falls through several different floors out of clumsiness while searching for a small statue.
  • Klaus Kerner, the main antagonist threatens Indy and Marcus with a pistol, Indy scuffles with him, but Kerner escapes.
  • The game-play has an arcade fighting aspect to it, where at certain points Indy will have to fist-fight an opponent until he knocks him out, or vice-versa. In which case, the player loses the game.
  • One sequence involves a car chase in Monte Carlo with Nazis that ends in a head-on collision. The Nazis escape and Indy survives unharmed, but the other passenger is briefly knocked out and thrown onto the street. Miraculously, he is unharmed and recovers immediately when Indy approaches him.
  • Indy has to maneuver around a Nazi dig-site in Algeria while a sniper tries to pick him off, he eventually confronts him in a fistfight.
  • Indy's hot-air balloon gets shot at by a Nazi sniper, but the balloon crushes him on the way down. The ruined balloon obscures the aftermath. Indy and Sophia are unharmed.
  • A dig-site entrance caves in, trapping Indy inside.
  • Indy can enter Atlantis via an ancient subway, which crashes through a walled entrance; leaving Indy battered, but unharmed.
  • A giant statue comes alive in an Atlantean jail cell and tramples a Nazi, no blood.
  • Indy and Sophia activate a strange vehicle that ultimately crashes through a wall and falls into a lava pit, they both escape in time.
  • A character is turned into a strange beast and throws himself into a pit of lava.
  • A character is turned into a demonic spirit-like entity and causes Atlantis to cave in. Indy and Sophia escape just as Atlantis perishes in a fiery eruption.

Profanity

  • Brief mild language, one use of "damn" and "hell". Some petty insults like "bucket-head" and "idiot"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Several scenes listed under violence may seem frightening.
  • A pivotal scene involves Sophia becoming possessed by an Atlantean god; she speaks in an ominous, guttural tone (a la "The Exorcist") accompanied by suspenseful music.
