Violence & Gore

  • Racing characters can hit each other with items like banana and shells, hit on objects like cars, train and bombs, get flattened by stuff like a giant Yoshi egg or rock, fall off a stage or fall into stuff like water and lava. But nobody dies.
  • In the 2- to 4-player battle mode, characters have to hit each other with said items in order to become the remaining one who stays in the stage. The ones who lose all their three balloons have lost.

  • In the japanese version of the game, there is a sposor named "Marioro" wich is a parody of the cigarette Company "Marlboro". The American version this was replaced by "Mario Star", wich has a completely different logo.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This game is mostly harmless, and is suitable for anyone. Just some fairly difficult race tracks like Bowser's Castle and Yoshi Valley, Rainbow Road depending on the one who plays this game.
