Every child needs to see this series.
Flicker-2110 April 2000
By the time you have seen all 7 of these films you will know more about your body than you could have imagined, most of it fascinating stuff. This series is worth watching just for the occasional magic moments, like the babies in the swimming pool and the pregnant woman getting magically larger before our eyes! If you are a parent you need to watch this series with your kids. You'll all be better for the experience and it will give plenty of opportunity for discussion after. I can't recommend this too highly. Find it!

A fantastic journey into THE HUMAN BODY
The_NubiS24 June 2006
The series take you on a 7 part trip through the stages of the human body - from the start to the end of life. You may feel as if you're bombarded by information, but keeping up is not a problem, even for younger audiences, as the flow is steady once you get used to it. There are a lot of "fun facts" which help to keep you entertained.

One thing that really strikes out is the footage, which is perfectly edited. You really get to see the body's functions in action. All in all this is one of the most interesting and fun documentaries about our bodies out there. I would definitely recommend this one to anyone and everyone!

A physiological and psychological exploration

I intend using this series on an introductory course in human development that I teach. Although the emphasis is on the physiology and mechanics of the body, those are integrated well with a psychological perspective. The series is interesting and accessible. The episode on the death of Herbie is outstanding and is a moving account of the end of life.

A passage through self..

This is by far the best documentaries I ever saw..I covered some of the BBC's documentaries like Walking with series and Micheal Palin's.

The human body documentary covers the life from a child's birth to the death with excellent visual material and factual documentation. This can be used as a text book for most of the medicos.

I can not explain much about this documentary and leave that suspense to you while you watch this..Only bad thing I had faced is that I borrowed this DVD from a British Library and due to the number of scratches on the disc, it is stucking a lot..i need to buy this one for my own and my kids..

Highly recommended..10/10
