Fine cast in okay shot-on-video feature
lor_1 April 2017
Poor production values and lousy technique made the thousands of '80s VHS shot-on-video releases quite ephemeral compared to the Golden Age films that preceded them. (I find a useful analogy here with recorded music, as so many of the '50s and '60s analog LPs -my preference being jazz - have stood the test of time and emerged as valuable collector's items 50 plus years later, while subsequent formats like cassettes, cartridges and CDs were all headed for the dumpster.

Such is the case with this embarrassingly generic-titled Adult feature, revived on an Alpha Blue Archives May/December triple header DVD.

Several of the great femme talents of the day, not A-list but nearly, make it worth watching, although in common with director Drea's other work behind the camera it is lousy.

Top billing goes to Honey Wilder, alongside fellow MILFs Pat Manning and Cyndee Summers, who introduce the movie while gathered together for coffee. They complain about soap operas with plot lines concerning cougars, but the video that follows merely endorses that gimmick rather than sending it up.

The three of them hire young studs to work as handymen. Honey has fun putting the make on Marc Wallice, blowing him in the kitchen. Pat has a bubble bath with Greg Rome, and Cyndee, that wonderful star from the earliest days of XXX, still looks great in a pink 1-piece bathing suit 15 or so years later, humping Shone Taylor on a pool table.

Honey follows up with a threesome involving both Shone and Greg in a garage, and then Pat seduces Tom Byron after getting him to hook up her VHS system to her TV, all to watch Diedra Hopkins (of "Little American Maid") in XXX action.

Not to be outdone, Cyndee has a threesome with Tom & Marc after practicing on a racquetball court.

Useful coda to the feature has the trio of gals back together having coffee, turning off the soaps on TV and each lying, professing no interest in young boys. Yes, just like in mainstream story telling, such obvious dissonance is supposed to satisfy the undemanding viewer. One of Drea's final works as a director, quite a comedown from her
