The Famous/Paramount cartoon Mike the Masquerader was a little amusing
tavm3 June 2009
In this one, the title character disguises himself as a kid in order to rob a bank. He runs into an elephant before ditching the cops, many of whom now put the witness into protection. Mike then tries to do away with this animal as he continues to put different costumes on...This was another Modern Madcap from Paramount/Famous Studios. As usual, the animation was limited but there was some amusing gags and the story was okay. Supposedly, this was one of Irv Spector's ideas since it's on his son's blog. Many of these latter-day Paramount/Famous cartoons were one-shots since the ones starring characters created for the studio were sold to the Harvey comic book company a while ago before this short. In summation, Mike the Masquerader is worth a look.
