"Pyos and the Cat" (Pyos i Kot) is indeed a classic little short from the 1950's Russia.
It deals with Pyos, whom is some sort of sheepdog, always watching his flock. One day, a tremendous storm swept the land, making Pyos run away to the city. However, he has some problems in the city. He runs into a Shop-keeper, whom happens to be a Cat, his Kittens and a stubborn Goat Rabbi whom has this hopeless crush on a curvacious Borzoi dog lady. One day, while Pyos leaves his ruined hat to be fixed by the Cat, he and his equally mischivious offsprings get things all mixed up, having to end up swapping the Rabbi's hat with Pyos' hat. So Pyos has to try to get it back, but no luck. He keeps running into trouble right and left, thus telling us the unpredictable relationships between dogs and cats.
It is a fun little short film indeed. I think the Soymultifilms video and DVD achives has this avalable alongside their other works, old and recent.
