A modest film by a gay San Francisco film-maker visiting his grandmother in Florida. Done very much in a verite style there is very little voice-over and the audience is pretty much left to draw its own conclusions.
I had the feeling that there was good material here, but that film maker hadn't quite figured out how to get at it. Perhaps a voiced-over narrative would have made the film more interesting but as it was it seemed a somewhat over-long visit with a grandparent that's nice enough but nothing remarkable and of only average interest.
