Anyone who has seen "Boogie Nights" knows of the great changeover in the adult film industry in the 1980's with the advent of videotape as the medium of choice over film. This video is oh so typical of the decline seen in production values during that switch-- super-cheap sets, sophomoric scripts, little importance given to acting, etc. Producers were convinced that the consumer really only cared about sex. And when they had stars like Christy Canyon, they were right.
Christy was such a knockout and such a dynamic performer that her presence in a XXX video made one forgive a multitude of other sins on the production end. The "plot" (of sorts) of the video here (some office high jinks) need not concern us- all one needs to know is that Christy is captured here early in her career before the first of her frequent retirements and that she looks and performs at her peak. Her oft-interrupted scene with Peter North is classic and her romp with Marc Wallice and Gail Force is a winner, too. There are other attractive women here as well-- Lacy Luv (Lana Burner) is one and Debra Lynn has extraordinary fashion-model beauty, but once the action starts neither can hold a candle to Christy. The only competition she gets in this area is from her pal Heather Wayne (looking nice and nasty here).
Christy was one of the triumvirate of wildly popular starlets from porn's first video age, the others being Ginger Lynn and Traci Lords. Even today her popularity is barely diminished. As long as there are pervs like me, her legend lives.
